Stewart Hendler is an award winning film, series, and commercial director, and a trailblazer in short-form mobile storytelling.

With over 15 years experience at the helm of all types of filmed entertainment—from theatrical features to global advertising campaigns—Hendler has collaborated with major studios, legendary brands, and pioneering technology platforms.

His credits include the Emmy nominated HALO: FORWARD UNTO DAWN, a five-part sci-fi action series produced for Microsoft which garnered over 80 million views and won Streamy awards for Best Drama Series, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Production Design along with dozens of other industry awards and nominations.

Hendler has also directed three studio feature films, including the cult classic horror SORORITY ROW. Starring Carrie Fisher as a shotgun wielding house mother, the campy fan favorite earned two teen choice nominations.

A veteran global commercial director, Hendler has shot over 100 commercials for bluechip clients including PORSCHE, BMW, MERCEDES, MASERATI, VW, JEEP, GMC, and BUDWEISER around the world—from Kazakhstan to New Zealand to Burbank.

A graduate of USC Film School, Hendler's short films have won awards including the Sundance Film Festival Viewers Award. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his husband and 6 year old son.
